Squirrel Yoga

squirrel-october-17-2016

I have to tell you that the squirrels here in Chicago are quite an interesting lot!  This little guy was mere steps from me when he literally stared at me as if he was intently listening to every word I said!  Speaking of words, I chatted away asking him if he was looking for a snack.  I told him I didn’t have a snack for him at the moment.  I asked him how the nut gathering was going!  At first he was sitting beside the tree as he glared at me.  Then he ran around the tree until he decided to ‘strike a yoga pose’, as it were.

Several people walked by and stopped to ask me if the squirrel was, “okay”.  “Okay?” I asked.  “He’s more than okay, he’s listening intently to me with more curiosity than I’ve seen in a long time.”  I suppose when the passersby saw him in his “tree pose”, they thought something was wrong with him.

I didn’t know I spoke “squirrel” until yesterday!  Quite nutty if you think about it! 😉

He’s adorable! My friend has a squirrel that waits for her to leave the house every morning. He even tries to get in. What’s going on in the animal world? Lol

Haha, thank you, Erika! It was so funny when people were walking by me because they also saw hi staring at me! Yes, gathering all of those nuts for winter must be exhausting so he needed a break! *LOL* Cher xo

    “I didn’t know I spoke squirrel.” You’re too funny and multi-talented, too. 😉

I thought I was the only one that talks to squirrels! When I cut back the rose hips from our roses, I pile them on the fence so I can see them from my kitchen window. Our local squirrels always come by and give me a great show. Strike a pose like Madonna! Or like me, in my Bikram Yoga Class!
