Would you look at this beautiful building! Along my train travels the other day I saw this extremely massive and impressive building. I had to find out what on earth it housed.
This is one of the buildings that belongs to the Illinois Institute of Technology. Built in 1893 by architects Patton & Fisher, this Romanesque Revival style exterior has all the trappings of a grand European structure, don’t you think?
I had not been to this particular area of Chicago before; seeing this remarkable building from the train window was quite delightful, I must say!
I hope you have a wonderful Friday, from whatever vantage point you are currently experiencing!!
Stately – just do not make buildings quite like this anymore! Happy Weekend – Enjoy 🙂

As with cars of the early 1900’s, these buildings are more like art. Nice catch! ❤️

At first glance, I thought it was the Hotel Frontenac in Quebec!! The building looks massive, a lovely old, well kept place! I wonder if this lovely structure could have a Ghost or two amongst its beautiful surroundings!!
