Fighting the Heat? I Found a Fountain!

Fountain Chicago June 2015

It has been extremely hot and humid here in CHItown as of late.  I daresay we are not the only ones experiencing an increase in the thermometer these days.

With that said, I thought I’d post a photo to help us all ‘imagine’ a cooling sensation in our midst!  This is a gorgeous fountain on the Chicago Riverwalk in downtown Chicago.  I took this photo while on an architectural boat tour (ergo the water of the fountain and the water of the river below!).  We were moving at a fair clip, so I’m pleased the photo isn’t too bad!

Stay cool, everyone! 🙂

Thank you so much, Chrissie! I’m glad to hear that. Yes, there is always a wonderful docent providing fantastic information about the architecture you see. It’s just over an hour tour, but my goodness do you ever learn a lot! Cher xo

They said it was at least 8-10 degrees above normal. Most of us expected high 70s in the mid of July there… xo

Yes, that sounds more like the norm there, Amy!! Not 90F!!! 🙂 Cher xo

The Sprog immersed herself in the Crown Fountain under the Boffin’s supervision while my inlaws and I watched Kinky Boots at the Cadillac today. Fountains are a wise choice lately for cooling off.

    Love the photo.

Thank you for the visit and like on my blog.

I can totally relate about the hot weather. We are battling 50 degrees centi this summer so yup… hot is an understatement for us 😀

My heart and towel go to all who are not accustomed to the heat. Summers are typically hot in Florida.
But I do remember those very early hot summer days spent in your magnificent city

Ah bless you, dear Eddie! I As one who is not accustomed to the heat (and humidity!), I shall respectfully and humbly accept your heart and towel with many thanks! Oh yes, I am certain the heat in Florida can be almost unbearable to those who are not used to it. You recall the early hot summer heat of Chicago……I am grateful we have Lake Michigan and fountains for all to find some relief. Thank you, Eddie! I am always grateful for your insight and wonderful words. Blessings to you, dear Eddie! Cher xo

Hi there! Ah yes, it really is, isn’t it? I love walking along the Chicago River. Isn’t it interesting that in a large city like this you can find some calmness. The river walk is like that I think! Thanks so much and a big welcome to The Chicago Files!! Cher xo
