Chicago’s Skyline – Sublime!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Ah, the Chicago skyline! I absolutely love this view of the city.  The photo was taken last summer from the Adler Planetarium.  It is, without a doubt, the most popular place in the entire city to take skyline photos.  With Lake Michigan in the foreground, and the Willis Tower (formerly the, “Sears Tower) permeating the scene, it’s no wonder many a tourist proclaims this setting as their favorite when sifting through vacation pictures.

What a beautiful photo! When I lived in Louisville, KY I always meant to make it to Chicago but never did. Still on the list of places to go and things to do.

Thank you! Oh yes, you most definitely should visit Chicago sometime. As a Canadian living in this huge American city, I was quite overwhelmed by it at first. Now, I see what all the ‘fuss’ is about; it’s wonderful! Cher xo

Well thank you so much, David! You will be extremely familiar with this area! I really appreciate your words; I feel it ‘is’ Chicago; our skyline is our trademark, I think! Last Fall I counted 8 bridal parties all vying for space along this fantastic scene!! Cher xo

I love the soft colours here, with just the one note of low-key red.

Isn’t it great, Carol? Yes, the Willis Tower (formerly Sears) is the tall, dark building that looks a bit like a Lego creation! Do you see which one I am referring to, Carol? Closer to the left side of the photo! Cher xo

Oh yes, Cher. The dark gray one. Thanks, dear. Having never been to Chicago, and doubt will, I depend on your wonderful “tour guidance” to inform. 🙂

Another beautiful view of Chicago! Ya know, the “Willis Tower” (It’ll always be the Sears Tower to me) may soon become the Blackstone Tower. Why couldn’t this new owner have been named the Blackglass Group? http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-willis-tower-being-sold-biz-20150315-story.html

Thanks, Mike! I did not know about this! I just checked out the link. Let’s just say, “Sears Tower” and let everyone else worry about what to call it! *LOL* Cher xo
